The National Safety Council's OSHA Recordkeeping Seminar focuses on what you need to do to comply and how to work with the log. Our dynamic seminar is offered nationally through our Local Chapter network.

TRAINING GOALS

• Identify the differences between the old and new OSHA recordkeeping requirements.
• Use the new OSHA forms correctly.
• Prepare to record the injuries in 2002 without error.
• Practice by using the new standards with in-class exercises

WHY SHOULD YOU ATTEND?
This seminar is intended for safety, health, environmental and management personnel who have the responsibility to prepare and maintain records of work-related injuries and illnesses.

TOPICS INCLUDE

• Examination of the Log of Work-Related Injuries and Illnesses (Form 300).
• Definitions and key terminology used to classify cases on the Log.
• Review of the Summary (Form 300A) - a separate form that details the totals for the year in each category.
• Determining when an injury or illness is considered work-related.
• Determining which work-related injuries and illnesses should be recorded.
• Defining medical treatment and first aid.
• Classifying injuries and illnesses.
• Posting and filing the Summary and the Log.
• Additional resources available through National Safety Council and OSHA to facilitate compliance.
