To properly prepare teens to drive, parents must have a clear understanding of the risks they face. This innovative new course identifies those risks and helps parents partner with their teen in the learning to drive process. The ability to reinforce basic driving skills and good decision-making will help teens become safe, responsible, and defensive drivers.
The course examines how to approach Graduated Driver Licensing (GDL) laws in addition to other laws, such as those related to safety belts, speeding, and alcohol and other drugs. Most importantly, the course identifies the purpose and components of an effective Parent/Teen Driver Contract and provides a recommended example that a parent and teen can use to manage a teen’s driving experience.
Developed to be taught by persons familiar with a fleet safety or management background, this program does not require instructor certification or a Training Center agreement. Even if you've never taught before, our fully-scripted instructor and resource materials will make you feel like a pro. You can take the Train-the-Trainer Course by registering at a Chapter location listed below, or get started by purchasing a facilitator kit.
