OSHA 500: Trainer Course in OSHA Standards for Construction

Become qualified to present effective safety and health training programs about OSHA construction safety regulations to at-risk workers. This course emphasizes learning about and abating greatest hazards in construction, using OSHA standards as a guideline. With the help of a variety of training methods, visual aids, and handouts, participants have an opportunity to:

Identify hazards and determine applicable OSHA standards.
Discuss topics required in the 10- and 30-hour outreach courses.
Qualify as authorized construction outreach trainers.

UPON SUCCESSFUL COURSE COMPLETION

Participants who complete the requirements (attendance, activities, and exam) are authorized to conduct and issues OSHA course completion cards for 10- and 30-hour safety and health outreach courses in construction safety.

OSHA Update Course 502 is required every four years to maintain authorized outreach trainer status.
